NU-12 9 Mark Tacbas concrete mixer weight monitor

Good day sir,

Instead of on- site weighing scale, maybe a built- in weight monitor can address this issue.

Idea: Concrete Truck Weight Monitor

Rationale:
A lot of truck as loaded up to the brim and then travel to populated areas wherein it becomes a threat to vehicles and people around it.

Implementation:
In truck design, add a feature that it can weigh and see through monitor how heavy the truck is carrying. This is added safety feature of the truck so it can load only up to its capacity only. This will assure that the trucks are being loaded accordingly and that it can carry the weight without causing it to breakdown in transit or cause major accidents along the way.

This feature will also helpful in verifying if the volume of cement in truck mixers are delivered according to what is ordered. There are some incidents wherein the driver passes by another site and sells a small volume of mixed concrete before delivering it to the real customer. Even if the customer verifies to the cement plant by looking at it's dispatching documents, the customer won't be able to see some traces of under- delivery because the act was done in- transit. This will eliminate under- delivery of ordered cement that are sometimes being done by third- party cement mix suppliers and their drivers to earn more from their customers, which is basically stealing.  3

Title: Bike Trolley

Idea: Bike Baby carrier (Car seat, stroller, bike seat- all in one)

Rationale:
Baby strollers can be converted as car seats to prevent the hassle in bringing too many equipments for kids when you go out. Since strolling and riding a bike in a park is relaxing and healthy at the same time, why not bring your baby with you using your 'Bike Baby Carrier'.

Implementation:
Since there are car seats and baby strollers in the market, why not add another feature: Bike Baby Carrier. It is placed in front of the handle bar of a bicycle like a basket (as seen below), the only difference it's for babies. It has foams all around for protection, it has all the features of a baby stroller (mosquito net, sun shade, front handle bar, etc) and of a car seat (safety belt, handle for carrying, etc). The added feature is that you can mount it on a bike so you can stroll and be healthy with your baby.  <safety issues Mark)j  3.5

Idea: Gray Water Collecting Tank in Toilets

Rationale:
Price of water goes higher and higher because of increasing demand and scarcity of supply.

Implementation:
In constructing a toilet, there should be a gray water (from shower drain, sink, washing machine- for condo) collecting tank underneath the substrate of the toilet or a gray water collecting tank installed within the toilet; along with it, the plumbing system should be designed to accommodate the use of recycled gray water. The collecting tank should have an overflow (like that in our toilet sinks) for it to maintain a certain amount of gray water and avoid spilling and storage of gray water for a long time. The collected gray water will then be used in flushing the water closet/ toilet bowl to minimize water wastage and lower the cost of water consumption. In the long run, we are not just saving for ourselves but also saving the future water supply of the next generation. < You and Paolo should work on this together;  collaborate>  3

Nu12-5 Mark Tacbas Selling newspapers via QR code





Idea: Instead of newspaper vendor selling newspaper, sell a QR code that can be scanned by smartphones and load the latest news of the day.

Implementation: 
Instead of roaming around the streets of MetroManila and carrying heavy pages of newspaper or renting a space to display newspapers for the day, why not carry QR codes from newspaper companies and sell it per scan/ download? It's much lighter to carry, no need to print and no need for paper. You just need to bring your smartphone and QR code/s and your a walking news vendor. 4

Product: Gate Latch Power Switch

Rationale: Many Filipinos suffer from fire; establishments and houses are flatenned to ashes. In a year there were more than 3,000 incidents recorded causing billions of damages, hundreds injured and a lot of deaths. One of the most common causes of fire is faulty electrical wiring.

Idea: Prevent fire by turning off the electrical supply once people leave the establishment/ house. 

Implementation: Electrical switch is incorporated in the gate latch. Once the latch is locked from outside, power supply is turned-off; when it is locked from the inside, automatically power is restored. This idea will prevent fires from forgotten switches and overloaded electrical sockets.

The added value would be power conservation. Instead of consuming power due to left-out lights and plugged appliances, the auto- shut off will cut the power supply avoiding high electrical bill.  <ingenious and simple  4>
