Is wireless electricity possible

Exploring possiibilites

From Witricity

I wireless electricity now possible?  Yes says WiTricity Applications This was published in Bulletin Today.

This used to be just used in gadget charging, or pacemaker operations.   The use of batteries is wasteful and costly.   Use of batteries result in a lot of toxic chemical waste. A Kwh of electricity from battery would cost P11,000, says the MB article.

A  new industry would emerge from wireless electricity - the resonant coils, laser for transmission, and microwave.  Gone will be cables and wires.

This idea came of out of ideas of Nikolai Tesla who proposed that there is unlimited amount of free energy out there waiting to be tapped.

See how telcos shifted from cable to wireless saving a lot on cable infrastructures which are prone to damage from elements, vandalism and which are costly.   Wireless cable TV and cp service can serve people in remote areas.

The high voltage and high current applications would be posing more challenges?

What do you think?
