1. Bacteria culture (bio activator) infused in a "seed" which can be thrown in together with biodegradable household garbage to hasten decomposition. As soon as the "seed" comes in contact with the biodegradables, it dissolves and releases the bacteria and decomposition starts. So by the time the biodegradables are dumped into the compost pit, they are halfway degraded, lessening foul odor and reducing bulk of the trash. 
2. Planting a tree in one's honor and be given a a gift. A certificate and name tag same as the one which will be used as a tree marker will be enclosed in a beautiful gift card to be given as a proof of the gift. Written in the gift card is the information/story about the project and its location. There will be a designated schedule of the the tree planting activity. It will be an event which can be coordinated with the local tourism office. There is an option for the gift receiver to go to the tree planting activity or not.  If he chooses not to,he can have the option to go to the location in his convenient time to check his tree. The tree will have the marker bearing the name of the person honored. Each tree will be planted in a chosen denuded area which needs reforestation. This area will be contracted for the tree planting. Locals can be hired to care for the planted tree until it becomes viable and grow with minimal maintenance. Money derived from the sales can be used to buy the seedling,wages of the tree maintainer. 
3. Tree planting events can also be sold to those celebrating milestones in their lives. It will be a relevant commemoration of a life event ( birthdays, wedding anniversaries, etc) . A small party with snacks after the tree planting activity. Instead of lavish parties, it is an alternative modest celebration which contributes to the preservation of earth resources  mitigating the effects of climate change.
