A new app is available tor 24/7 medical services to Filipinos who are tired of long ques trying to see a doctor This service was put by Denmark based Mediaxes A/S. The company brings with it 50 years experience in telemedcine. The company believes that Philippines is a good place for telemedicine and hub for expanding outside the Philippines.
The apps is available for download via Google Play or Apple App store. The user can request consultation via SMS. There are prepaid cards worth P450 to pay for medical consultation. The consultation can be done via audio or video depending on the case. There are 50 doctors and 25 nurses being employed by the firm. The doctors are employed part time and are encouraged to continue their training rather than spend full time behind desks.
The company is in plans to expand access to most areas by having the cards sold at sari sari stores in Manila and Davao. And to lower consultation fees to P299.00
This is hoped to be the Uber of medicine.
