Learning century old fishing techniques from Solomon island fisherman by Jeremy Wade at Disovery Channel

 From Monster Fish Discovery Channel

You can actually learn a lot techniques from fisherman who honed the same over several generations. This was learned by Jeremy Wade, the monster fish catcher, as he tried to win the respect of the Solomon islands elders

He considered some of them weird:

1. Using vines to coral the fish, including the aquarium fish and then spearing them;

2.  Bow and arrow fish hunting in rivers;

3.  Using kite and spider web as hook to catch fish;  the kite flies and drags the line with the bait that is lined with the cobweb.

4.  A bait with stone and coconut leaf.

The master fisherman are men of few words and do not share their secrets with everyone.  Jeremy Wade, although as master fisherman himself has to be the apprentice
