NU 6 /# 1 by Pam Joy

Hi Prof,

Please see below for my NU 6 submission:

Serendipity Walk

Affordable, clean, secure dormitories

I live right at the heart of Iloilo City. Half a block away from my house are three of the biggest and most reputable schools in the City—Assumption, Iloilo Central Elementary School, and St. Paul University. Also half a block away (but the other way) are some of the biggest malls—Robinsons, SM, Marymart, and Amigo. Offices—BPOs, banks—are abounding in my part of town.

And yet across a kilometer's dimension, you could not spot one decent, affordable, clean, secure, and branded dormitory. This stands in stark contrast to the likes of Katipunan and Taft avenues where places like these abound to target students and young professionals from out of town alike.  My Place and Dormitoryana in Katipunan are ideal examples.

Working in the biggest BPO in the City, I often hear complaints from agents and support staff about challenges in finding a good and comfortable place to stay in.

With the current progress and development in Iloilo, chances are, the population of the City is only going to grow bigger requiring the need for more places to stay.

It is therefore ideal to put up a dormitory in this part of town (there is only one or two other non-Condominiums in the City that could be categorized as such and even they are a good kilometer away from the center of the city).

Premier Event Organizing Company in Iloilo City

With the exemption of Dennis Ochoa (who handles weddings exclusively), there is no event organizer in the City of Iloilo that is not fly-by-night. Most of the organizers in the city are not established—one day they have a big event in town; the next, they are gone. Most of these organizers take their event organizing as a sideline to daytime jobs.

With the progress and development in Iloilo City that includes multi-million peso Convention Centers, hotels, retail and residential complexes, the demand for events will only increase in the next few years. The APEC Summit is excepted to make Iloilo City one of its host cities in 2015.

A reliable, established, and branded event organizer is a good opportunity in Iloilo City. Catering not only to weddings but to corporate events mainly, the Premier Event Organizing company in Iloilo City will specialize in putting together great events for companies that are currently situated or are about to come in the City.

Thanks,
Pam
