Creating malls for entrepreneurs using old container vans in Toronto Canada

Rizal  Philippines  |   January 10,  2013

I am on my way to Iloilo to visit a site and conduct a class on entrepreneurship tomorrow.

Last night I saw a project of govt of Toronto to give opportunity for start ups to begin their business using old container vans as store sites.  It looks ingenious.  The container vans are placed in vacant public lands.  The rents are cheap, there is a new way to recycle the junk container vans, and the stagnating local businesses are given chance to be perked up.

Very soon, they will put a mall with with second floor using the same technology/resources

The other uses for old container vans have been:   fun places (as in Pier one in Eastwood), offices (we are buying for our offices)  site offices, and cheap housing for disaster stricken areas.
