Hi Prof Jorge,

Below is my NU6 idea.

Electric Meter Peso Display

Cost of electricity takes a huge chunk of every household expense. With all the appliances and gadgets that every family use, it is no surprise that cost of electricity of households continue to rise especially when the use of air conditioning units increase during summer. The government and electric companies has done their fair share of reminding household to save electricity by giving tips and advices on how to lower electric consumption. But when the electric bills arrives, most household are still surprised that their electric bill is either the same or has gone up despite the information campaigns of the government and electric companies. It would be helpful to put a display monitor connected to the electric meter that displays the number of kilowatt used and the ACTUAL RUNNING AMOUNT of the kilowatt used for the current month real time. Aside from the number of kilowatt used and actual amount of electricity used, it also displays current time, date and temperature. The actual amount of electricity displayed increases as the households use electricity.  This should be placed inside the house that is visible to all the household members. This way, the consumers can know at any given time the amount of electricity they used and its corresponding amount. By knowing their consumption and amount needed to pay, they will be more conscious of their usage of electricity and will surely find ways to lower their consumption once they see that the amount they have consumed is already high.  At the end of the month, it shows the total amount that the household needs to pay for electricity and is reset to start the new month.

Thanks and regards. 3
