There is a current hype in transitions lens nowadays, also called as photochromic lens. Basically, these are eyeglasses that have clear lenses when in the dark or dimly-lit area and change into a pair of sunglasses when there is adequate lighting or when exposed to direct sunlight. Of course, this is not new if it used on typical eyeglasses. But what if it is applied on car wind shields? This practically solves the need for car tinting, and this is especially cool on luxury cars or sports cars; but more importantly, it protects drivers and passengers from harmful UV rays without compromising night-time visibility from normal car tints.
