Timer on Elevator Panel - Terence Uygongco / AGSB-ILOILO
it is always frustrating when you are in a hurry and the elevator takes a long time to reach your floor. While I was in the Security Bank building in Makati, there were 6 elevators but some of them have limitation like it only stops on certain floors. It took me around 5-7 minutes before I can get on a lift that serves 14th floor which I have a meeting. The normal panel has floor indicator but sometimes it takes a long time to move up or down. It would be nice if there is a timer on the door side panel with a countdown of how many minutes and seconds would the elevator arrive. This is similar to the countdown of the traffic light but the system envisioned computes for the time remaining when the elevator would arrive at the floor where you are situated. For people who are just going up/down 1-3 floors and if it would take a long time, they can just walk up/down instead of waiting. 3.5
