NU6 - by Rophele Ocamp AGSB Clark Entrep =: Medicapp

Prof Jorge,

Please see my 4th NU idea below.

Nu 6 – 4: Medicapp
Whenever we are sick, we are given medicines to take that are being administered on a specific time and day. This is to ensure that the prescription given will have its accurate effect and attain the results you need. Some people even take medicines every day, may it be for treatment, prevention, and/or maintenance.
When we are at the hospital, the nurse/doctor is the one that is monitoring your medication. When we are at home, our mother or wife is the one that takes the role, but when we are not at home, usually we are the one who monitors administering our medicines. And based on my experience, I usually forget maybe because of our busy work schedules and taking medication is not usually a part of it.
Since having a mobile phone is a necessity already and it plays an important part of our everyday lives. Inspired by Nick D' Aloisio (Summly App), I have thought of the Medical"Medicapp" application that will help us monitor medications by giving us notifications and will constantly remind us like what our mother, wife, and nurse/doctor would do.
You will just encode in the application what sickness you have, what medicine you need to take, the administration of the medicine and what time you have taken your last medicine. From there, the app will remind you when it is time for you to take your medicine. The phone will not stop its notification/alarm until you have encoded/tap in the app that you have taken already your medicine and the notification of that particular encoded sickness and medicine intake will turn off once you have completed the administration of the medicine and it will be saved as your reference as your personal medical history tracker.
The application may also evolve and include additional features such as basic online consultation, references for natural remedy/aid that will help in the healing process, and a lifesaver that will notify your doctor or family in case of your emergency 3.5.

Regards,
