Transportation Innovation "It's time for every Juan"
In order for people to adapt change they need to embrace certain sacrifices for the good of many.  Living in a 3rd world country requires great discipline for gratification, for it is known that Filipino's are born to be of simple living, hardworking, patient and loving.  We know for a fact that all minimum wage earners, students, contractuals and even un-employed persons prefer to ride jeepneys, buses, pedicabs and tricycles going to work, but are we ready to embrace transportation innovation?
Are we contented of living in a 3rd world country forever? How long will I/you wait for our government to provide solutions for vehicle congestion and heavy traffic in the metro?  Do you think that its time for us to innovate and create solutions as patriots of our country.  I do have several ideas on how to solve this crisis, for I usually spend more than 2 or more hours daily just to arrive at work and again several hours going home, not to mention that grueling traffic even on week ends.
How can an individual be productive if this problem persists? What if we wipe out all privately owned public transport vehicles (except buses and taxi's) and our government provide its own transport system, is this possible? Considering this might result to chaos for we Filipino's are use to it, some might say that this opinion is subjective for people with personal cars, but just like what I 've stated, we need to embrace sacrifice for the good of many.
Here are my thoughts for the transportation innovation:
1.     Philippine Government should have a law that dictates exact number of buses for each cities, (the number would vary on how many business establishments are available in that city or number of employee tenants)
2.     Eradication of pedicabs, FX's, UV vans, tricycles and jeepneys
3.     Philippine Government will be the body that will produce the number of buses that the city needs. (Government owned buses)
4.     All vehicles in the Philippines must have years of tenure  (10 years)
5.     For the eradicated bus and jeep operators, government is obliged to hire them as drivers to offset financial dilemma and offer additional/full benefits
6.     Offer low fare rates for the number of bus and jeeps decreases (lesser competition)
7.     Strict ruling for terminal loading and unloading drop off areas
8.     For the commuters, provide an awareness program that will focus on basic ways on how to be a responsible commuter
9.     Strict license approval for bus and taxi drivers (full background check, he/she must pass all necessary requirements)
We are living in the 20th century and Philippines is having a steady and rising economy growth, for us to be globally accepted by other nations, we must learn to adapt to changes, diversification and innovation.  3.5
