Bay Bridge Finally opens last Monday

Repost from the Guardian | September 3, 2013

The $6.4 billion span of the Oakland Bay Bridge finally opened to traffic after years of delay and massive cost over runs. The bridge was destroyed in the l989 La Loma Prieta earthquake which is said to occur every l,500 years.  At least many sighed a relief because the bridge was completed before l,500 years was over.

This bridge construction was earlier posted at this blog last July 2013
