Crowd Verdict
We can always think a lot of good things that we can do for our country. Most of the time especially when we visit other countries, one can't help but wish that hopefully Philippines as a country would be able to implement and experience the advancement other countries already have.
I will tie up my idea for this first article on the need to change the political system in our country. Without the support from a good government and its lawmakers, and the proper funneling of funds, all of these things we dreamed for our country will only stay that way.
There are a lot of things done today online where a lot of people are involved, crowd sourcing, crowd funding etc. I have been thinking to implement the same in our country and it should be something that speaks the voice of the people. I would like to call it "crowd verdict".
It functions like a poll survey, but compared to how current surveys are run, crowd verdict is done online and every one would be able to register and participate. With registration, the data or profile of the respondent can be tracked like, the type of respondents, area and locations, age, profession etc. And with the advent of internet most of the people are now online.
Remember that day when a rally was held as a protest against pork barrel, thousands of citizens joined this activity. But in reality, I believe that there are million more Filipinos who felt the same but don't have the time to join. "Crowd verdict" should answer the gap for those who can't be physically capable to attend but they can vote online.
I can imagine "crowd verdict" providing a data like as "2M Filipinos voted against Pork Barrel, 50% of which are students mostly from NCR. 30% are senior citizens and the remaining 20% on the labor sector". This is a good and specific data that would help the government answer to any issues thrown at them. And most of all these captures the majority of the audiences as long as they have the capability to go online.  3
