PICK-UP DRIVE-THRU
Workday mornings, people usually are in a hurry; from taking a bath, to choosing their clothes, and eating breakfast (that most people chose not to), to avoid traffic jams and parking slot queues. Well, breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day as it provides you energy to last through out the tough day. Worst, even fast food drive-thru usually had long queues during the morning rush hour. So, what if we can call in our orders even before we get to the drive-thru? Less hassle, eh? What you just have to do is pay for your order and pick it up.
Here's the thing; you're in a hurry, so eating breakfast will take much of your time as well. You're anticipating long queue on the drive-thru; so you give your nearest drive-thru a call; give them your orders and your name, and the estimated time of your arrival (to keep your food fresh); when you reached your fast food drive-thru, just tell them your name, pay your bill, pick up your food, and leave. Voila! Less waiting time; and even if there's a queue, customers are attended to in a just a few minutes since they'll just be picking up their orders too and pay their bills.
Another idea; payment may be done through a credit card or an online payment system (like Pay Pal). This time, order will be made online (most people surf the internet when stuck in traffic). A separate booth will then be provided for both concepts, not to mix the "walk-in" drive-thru customers from those who phoned their orders.
These may be a bit time-saving, yet there could be cost increase for additional booths. Security (especially for credit card transactions) can also be an issue. However, convenience here is better than spending more time waiting than an ordinary drive-thru. 3
